Well... I am alive! The past week has gone by so slowly. I am so nauseous and unfortunately it seems to be an all day type of thing :( Last Monday and Tuesday I had to leave early from work as I was so sick. It turns out my prenatal is making me throw up. Since then I have not thrown up but still feel nauseous all day. I am trying to eat every few hours. A little in my stomach at all times seems to help a bit. I know it does not help that I am short staffed the next few weeks as well. I am hoping the next five weeks fly by!!
Ok enough complaining! I know this is all for the good :) I had first appt with midwife on Friday. That went really well. She is really nice and made me feel super comfortable. I have to go in for some bloodtests this week so I am hoping on Wed I will feel up for that. We also booked first Ultrasound to hear the heartbeat Oct 10th!!! I am very excited about that.
I have announced to many of our best friends and my co workers and everyone is super excited for us. Yay! I am still trying to take everything in. N also got a fulltime position for the next year. I am so proud of him :) We have so much to be thankful for. Just taking it a day at a time... Hopefully next week I will start chalkboard updates!

Baby Holmes ETA May 2013!!
It is official! I went to the Dr's yesterday and I am 5.5 weeks along and due May 5, 2013. I cannot wait to share the news with friends and family. I am hoping to tell a few close friends and our parents in the next week. Everyone else can wait until the 12 week mark (I hope!!). I think it will be hard to contain ourselves though! N already told one of his bestfriends at his wedding last weekend. I know it's because he is a very excited and proud dad-to-be. I know he is going to be a great dad!!
I wish I could have shared with my family before he spilled the beans but I want to tell them in person so I will most likely have to wait until this weekend. We are suppose to go to a football game on Saturday with the inlaws so we will most likely tell them then. N is trying to come up with a fun way to tell them.
I bought supplies to make my own chalkboard over the weekend as some of my fav bloggers have done this. It is such a cute idea! I hope I will keep up with it. I plan to do my first update this weekend :) I hope the rest of this week goes by fast!
