Aria is 5 months old!

Ahh my little lady is 5 months old! Where has the time gone?! ❤️

Baby stats

Sleep: she still hasn't gone back to sleeping through the night but usually only wakes up twice. Around 1230/1 and then around 5. We need to get into a better routine... I think that might help. 

Feed: every 2/3hours other than at night

Daily Routine: not a strict routine but usually up around 630/7am for a feed then we sleep until 830-9. Boob then nap around 10. With Neil at home we usually plan to do something after this nap. Her naps seem to get shorter as the day goes on.. Hopefully once this sleep regression passed that will change. Goes to bed around 830-9. 

Weight: 14lb 14oz 

Length: 25in and 16.75 head

Diaper size: size 3 diapers. These have helped with the blow outs. Although sometimes still sneaks out the side lol. 

Clothing size: 3-6m still but they are getting tighter and 6month sleepers. We should be good to go for 6-12m clothes when fall hits. 

Hair Color: medium brown but seems lighter in the sun 

Eye Color: very dark brown 

Baby favs: she is mommys girl (is happy as long as I'm near or preferably holding her), playing with toys, seeing her brother (she giggles the most at him it's too cute), sitting or standing, jumperoo, she is loving food!

Baby not so favs: being away from mom, naps, being stuck doing something for too long, when she can't reach her food 

Challenges: 

- still struggling with naps a bit. I'm finding it harder to have a strict routine with two kids 

- keeping her busy so she's happy. It'll be better when she can sit on her own I think 

Funniest moment: When she wants food in her mouth she makes sounds and then forcefully puts it in her mouth Hahha

Milestones/ Firsts:

- first food peaches (August 3), since then she's had banana, watermelon and apple as well 

- still working on sitting (she should have it completely by next month)

Events in the past month:

Lots of beach days or lake days (we get out in the sun whenever possible)

Looking forward to:

- her sitting by herself but at the same time she is growing up way too fast. Time needs to slow down 😢

Sleep: my good little sleeper is gone 😞👎🏼...damn you 4month sleep regression. I should be thankful that at least it didn't hit until Neil was home for the summer. But man it's still tiring. The past week she has been waking up 3/4 times a night... Usually a 4hr stretch then every couple hours after. But some nights it's every 2 hours like a newborn 😴 I am hoping this passes quickly! She fights naps sometimes too. Ugh. One day at hornby she cried straight for like an hour when we were at the beach. Then finally passed out.

Diaper size: size 2 and still having blow outs. We are currently trying Huggies to see if that helps since she's within weight range still. 

Clothing size: 3-6m and will be going into 6month sleepers any day here. Love having some new variety!

Hair Color: medium brown but seems lighter in the sun 

Eye Color: looks like they will be dark brown 

Baby favs: her brother, mama singing, checking out the world 

Baby not so favs: hangry, blow outs, naps lol 4 month sleep regression is tough. 

Challenges: 

- she was sleeping so well and then the 4 month sleep regression hit.. Yikes! Waking up every few hours.. Hard to get down for naps. Not fun! 

Funniest moment: umm there are so many with two kids I swear. We will laugh about it all in the future 😜

Aria is 3 months old!

Wow three months old already! With two kids time really does fly by even quicker. This little lady is a light in our life ❤️

Baby stats

Sleep: this little lady is sleeping through the night like a champ! She goes to bed around 9/930 and has been waking up around 5/6 for a feed. In the last week she has been sleeping until 7! Then goes back to sleep until 9ish. It's life changing really! Some mornings Dax actually wakes me up before she does haha. She still gets fussier at night but usually isn't too bad just over tired. Putting her to bed is usually pretty easy though. 

Feed: every 2/3hours other than at night

Daily Routine: I definitely find I have less of a routine with two.. It depends on the day (who is home and what needs to get done). She needs to nap after being awake around an hour though.. I have been seeing that more and more. So she feeds then we will do an activity for awhile. She will sometimes fall asleep there or will get fussy and want to be picked up for a bit. Then will sleep and we will do it all over again. I find lately her naps have been short so I try to take advantage when I can. Especially with running a business, having a toddler and despising a dirty house lol. 

Weight: 12lb 2oz as of June 6

Length: 22.5inches 

Diaper size: size 1 but debated going up a size. Lol I'm hoping this second box of size 1 doesn't kick me in the butt. 

Clothing size: 0-3/3months but I think we will be switching soon. It's bitter sweet as I love new outfits but means she is growing up fast. 

Hair Color: medium brown but seems lighter in the sun 

Eye Color: looks like they will be dark brown 

Baby favs: play mat and mobile, singing/music, her mom & brother, watching over your shoulder, stroller rides, her monkey or any animal with a face really that she can talk to l, sucking her fingers 

Baby not so favs: car seat but not as bad as it was, having to wait for anything (haha she is not very patient.. She lets you know)

Challenges: 

- days with both her and Dax. They are getting better but by the end of the week we are all tired ;) I find the more I tend to Dax the better but sometimes I'm just so tired haha 

Funniest moment: umm there are so many with two kids I swear. We will laugh about it all in the future 😜

Aria is two months old today!!

I can't believe our little girl is two months old today! 

Baby stats

Sleep: unfortunately this hasn't changed much...She has had a few nights where she has slept longer but usually doesn't go much more than three hours at night.  Neil watches her 8-11/12 and from there she wakes up around 3am and 6 for feeds. She is starting to fall asleep a little bit earlier so I'm hoping her cycle will change soon!

Feed: still feeds every 2/3hours

Daily Routine: still don't have much of a set routine. She seems to have longer naps earlier in the day so I'll usually tidy up and run errands or play with Dax if he's at home. When she's awake she will kick on her playmat or we will do a photo shoot. Lunch time then put Dax down for a nap and sometimes she naps at same time. Wohoo! The afternoons are usually more challenging as we countdown until dad gets home at 5. This week we have started going for walks in the afternoon. Aria loves it! She is usually fussy after 7 until about 10 but it doesn't seem to be as.bad. We still don't have a great bedtime routine since Neil takes her while I nap. She is falling asleep earlier though so hopefully in the next month I'll be able to start a good routine for her. 

Weight: 10lb 14.5oz

Length: 22in - ish? Hard to measure her lol

Diaper size: size 1! I held onto the newborn diapers to use them up but finally caved as too many blow outs lol. Less diaper changes at night with size 1s as well. 

Clothing size: 0-3!! Yay! We switched her at six weeks. Most aren't that big on her so this might be a quick transition. We will see ;) her one month sleepers barely fit now.. She's getting longer!

Hair Color: medium brown (seems to be a bit lighter than when she was born)

Eye Color: looks like they will be dark brown 

Baby favs: play mat, music/nursery rhymes, her brother, looking around on walks, she likes baths now :) 

Baby not so favs: wiping her face, being hangry, soother falling out, car seat when car stops moving 

Challenges: left boob isn't as much of an issue these days! Yay! 

- my back has been terrible the past month :( she wants to be held/rocked but it kills my back. Hopefully this will get better soon 

- days with both her and Dax. They are getting better but by the end of the week we are all tired ;) 

- pumping at night - just annoying as I'm tired but once she starts sleeping longer I won't do as often as I'm mostly pumping for Neil's night feed 

Funniest moment: for me it was pumping without having the bottle connected lol

Aria is 6 weeks old!

This lady is 6 weeks old. She weighs 9lbs 13oz, 22 inches long, size 1 diapers after some gnarly blow outs and is finally wearing her 0-3m clothing!!! Yay 🎉🎉 we have so many cute outfits to wear coming up.
